Oklahoma State University recently hosted their “Coaches vs. Cancer Birthday Bash” at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Stillwater (OK) CheeZies store played a big role in the success of the event, donating eighty pizzas for kids and their families in attendance.

The event was held to honor young cancer victims, and featured appearances from OSU coaches, student-athletes, cheerleaders, band members, and athletic mascot Pistol Pete.

Activities included a number of games and audience participation activities, as well as a ceremonial birthday cake for victims celebrating another year of beating cancer.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a national collaboration between the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).  The Oklahoma State University Coaches vs. Cancer campaign is comprised of volunteers seeking to raise money and awareness on behalf of the ACS.
